NHS
Three primary care trusts (PCTs) in Birmingham – Heart of Birmingham Teaching PCT, NHS Birmingham East and North, and NHS South Birmingham – commission primary care services for a diverse population across the UK’s second city. The NHS in Birmingham has a local focus, with clinicians guiding service transformation and partnership working; a care focus with patients and local people influencing care; centres of excellence in our hospitals, including Birmingham’s first new hospital for 70 years, and round the clock primary care; and innovations such as the free Be Active scheme and digital and telephone support keeping people healthy at home.
