Birmingham City Council
Representing our one million residents, Birmingham City Council’s most important role is to provide strategic leadership to the city.
Working in partnership with a huge diversity of public, private and third sector bodies to create a vision for the future of Birmingham and to ensure the vision is delivered. Connecting Birmingham to the global networks that drive the new digital economy, the Council helps to develop the skills of local people, invests in job creation and constantly improves quality of life. Protecting and supporting local communities, the Council also ensures the delivery of local services that provide opportunities to the city’s residents. This is why we say that Birmingham is a global city with a local heart.
